Our Cancer Survivorship & Prevention class is a 3 part series hosted at Nutritional Healing on the following evenings:
July 11th 5-6 (Guest Speaker: The Free Market)
July 18th 5-6 (Guest Speaker: Garden to Doorstep Organics)
July 25th 5-6 (Guest Speaker: Chef Shelly)
Each class will have focused education on phytonutrient (color of the week) health benefits, and recipes for attendees each week corresponding with that specific color 🙂
Kim and Kerry will be educating on all nutritional/educational facts sourced from: The World Cancer Research Fund International & American Institute for Cancer Research. 2015
The Nutritional Healing team will also teach their approach to disease and cancer prevention, as well as provide healthy nutrition guidance for those currently going through treatments.
About 1/3 of the most common cancers could be prevented through diet, weight and physical activity. Known risks will be highlighted throughout the program as well as special attention paid to food(s) that are helpers or antagonists of specific cancers. The goal is to educate our attendees that nutrition can be healing, can be fun, and can enhance their traditional methods of medical care throughout the journey they are facing. Kim and Kerry plan to bring energy and empathy to all classes and present with the utmost enthusiasm and care for everyone involved.
