Seth’s Coffee | Local Craft Café
Seth Lenz had his first cup of coffee in the Saharawi Refugee Camps in Western Algeria at age 12. A few years later he got a part-time job at a drive-thru espresso bar and the rest of his coffee journey was history! Seth went to Bible school in England & Austria after graduating high school, with lots of traveling between the two. This was his most inspiring exposure to coffee–seeing it done as an integral part of the European culture, with variations from one country to the next. A few months after coming back to the USA, he first had the idea to open a café. Knowing nothing of business, he took 3 semesters of classes between Santa Barbara City College and Fox Valley Tech to get his feet wet with how to run a business. Seth then opened Seth’s Coffee on September 30th, 2009, about three years from when he first had the vision for his café.
His wife, Kate, is the potter who makes all the pottery that they serve drinks in at Seth’s Coffee. They are thrilled to be a family-owned coffee shop in Seth’s hometown of Little Chute. Since then, the business has expanded greatly! In 2015 they opened a second location in a drive-thru context near Lawrence University in Appleton with the same great product you’d expect from their parent location in Little Chute. Their next adventure took place in 2022 as they opened a third location in Grand Chute with both a drive-thru and indoor seating.
At Seth’s Coffee, they believe in taking as little as possible away from the greatness of coffee. This is why they brew every cup by the cup, so you are only getting something that is handcrafted to order. And their educated staff is always ready to have some ‘coffee-talk’ with customers to enhance your overall experience.
We chose to visit their parent location in Little Chute which makes for the perfect dining spot with a relaxed atmosphere for dining, business meeting, or a place to meet friends for your favorite beverage and catch up! We ordered and highly recommend the nitro cold brew, golden milk latte, garden salad, veggies & hummus, and roasted red pepper soup of the day.
