Carmella’s Edition

Throughout their lives, the owners of Carmella’s, an Italian Bistro have been passionate about food, being with family and making others happy. They inherited these loves from their family and are proud and honored to be able to share these passions with their guests at “carmella’s, an italian bistro”.

Carmella, their grandmother, was an amazing woman who had proven to be an inspiration to their family in many, many ways. She was always in the kitchen, either in her apartment or at the restaurant, cooking up something that smelled too good to be true. It is from her that the owners learned what hard work and dedication could bring.

The dishes at Carmella’s are made so that the true flavors of the ingredients shine through. They take the utmost care in selecting only the freshest and highest quality ingredients available, often using locally grown and made products to help support the businesses in our community.

Their meats are sourced from family and locally owned Haen Meats, much of their dairy is from Lamers Dairy, their pasta is made fresh by RP’s Pasta in Madison, and their gelato and sorbet are made in the traditional Italian style – all-natural and no preservatives – by Palazzolos in Michigan. As well, many of their Italian cheeses are made by artisan cheese-makers right here in Wisconsin!

Our server Andrew was beyond attentive and helpful with the menu. Nutritionists Kimberly and Erin ordered the ‘Scottish Salmon’ and the ‘Roasted Beet Salad’ with Chicken. Both meals packed a variety of food groups, but the preparation of the produce really woke up our taste buds to new textures and enhanced flavor possibilities for some of our favorite vegetables!
Their family is extremely proud to be able to share a part of themselves with all of their guests at “carmella’s, an italian bistro,” and know their grandmother would be proud. Time to make a visit to Carmella’s on your next dining out experience to see why everyone loves this local restaurant!
