ACOCA Coffee
Tucked away in the heart of Appleton’s downtown, ACOCA Coffee and Roastery is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and health-conscious diners alike. On a recent visit, Nutritional Healing’s Nutritionists Kimberly and Erin enjoyed a delightful lunch break here, and it’s easy to see why this spot is a local favorite.
ACOCA is Appleton’s longest-running coffee roaster. Most of their beans are sourced fair trade and organic (FTO), ensuring the best quality and trade practices in the industry. ACOCA also offers free delivery of house-roasted coffee beans on Tuesdays and Thursdays, within the HWY 41 / 441 loop.
Kimberly opted for a Nitro Cold Brew—smooth, bold, and perfectly chilled—while Erin refreshed with an Iced Matcha Green Tea, the balance of earthy matcha and light sweetness being ideal for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Their meal choices reflected ACOCA’s commitment to offering healthy and fresh options. The Cobb Salad was vibrant and loaded with nutrient-packed ingredients, from the crisp greens to the pickled onions and protein-rich chicken. Kimberly’s choice, Brussels the Veg, was equally impressive, a savory and well-seasoned dish featuring perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted red pepper coulis, and eggs.
One of the standout features of ACOCA Coffee is its incredible staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft, they make every guest feel like part of the community. The staff’s attention to detail, from recommending drinks to sharing the story behind the locally roasted coffee, adds a personal touch that elevates the entire experience.
Another highlight is ACOCA’s wide array of healthy, local food options. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking for wholesome meals, the menu is thoughtfully curated with fresh ingredients, many sourced from local vendors. Supporting ACOCA means supporting local businesses, and it’s clear this coffee shop values sustainability and community.
