Field & Fire Edition
Nutritionist Erin was graciously gifted with a Field & Fire gift card from one of our clients. She and owner Kimberly decided to use this thoughtful token of appreciation by trying various menu items and spreading the good word about another amazing small business doing BIG things!
Field & Fire specializes in scratch cuisine and wood fire pizza. These owners travel the world to grow, eat, drink, and laugh. They brought their experiences back home, to us right here in the Fox Cities!
Field & Fire provides a unique dining experience with fresh quality ingredients with Dinner, Brunch, and Spirit menus, or catering for private local events.
Ryan Sherman, Co-Owner and Executive Chef had a humble beginning in his career. He started with dishwashing and doing kitchen prep at a supper club in Hortonville, Wisconsin. He studied at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire.
Training in the kitchens of the Greater Fox Valley and Green Bay area for 15 years, Ryan had experience in doing everything from bar and grill, catering, and fine dining.
He even grabbed an opportunity to showcase his skills to the masses by landing an appearance on the Food Network. Ryan decided to start something on his own after winning a national competition.
He partnered with Jordan, who shared the same beliefs in food, art, and dining experience, to start Field & Fire.
Co-Owner Jordan Hereford cleared the way for Appleton’s Ambassador cocktail lounge. He wanted to provide prohibition and modern era spirits and cocktails to downtown Appleton.
He started working at the age of 13 by washing dishes in the kitchen of a restaurant in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. He has experience in both front and back-end restaurant operations.
In recent years of traveling domestically and abroad with his wife, Amanda, Jordan developed a desire to leave his mark in the food cocktail world owing to his passion for quality cuisine and liquor.
We absolutely love everything that this local gem has to offer! Run, don’t walk, and check them out yourselves!
